Spell Check dictionary
Hello,
I've used apache open office for a few years now awhile back I developed and issue with spell checking. In every application I open it underlines ever word I type as misspelled. When I try to use the spell checker it just goes through every word 1 by 1 as misspelled but offers no suggestions on how it should be spelled. I think the dictionary is missing. I just recently downloaded the latest version of apache open office (version 4.1.11) but that didn't help.
What should I do?

Start by renaming your OpenOffice user profile.
If you are using Windows close OpenOffice and the Quickstarter. Open File
Explorer. Copy and paste %appdata%\OpenOffice\4 in the File Explorer (sometimes called Windows Explorer)
Address Bar and press Enter. Rename the "user" folder - "user.old" is a
good choice. Start OpenOffice.
This cures most spellcheck problems.
