[jira] [Created] (RANGER-1747) Usersync: LDAP Paged results seems
to be ignored in Ranger
Endre Kovacs created RANGER-1747:
------------------------------------
Summary: Usersync: LDAP Paged results seems to be ignored in Ranger
Key: RANGER-1747
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RANGER-1747
Project: Ranger
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Ranger, usersync
Reporter: Endre Kovacs
When the user has an LDAP server which enforces strict pagination (e.g.: _olcSizeLimit_
http://www.openldap.org/doc/admin24/limits.html set to _50_)
and the user sets the following properties in usersync configs to comply with the server
{code}
ranger.usersync.pagedresultsenabled=true
ranger.usersync.pagedresultssize=50
{code}
paging happens only once according to the user specified _pagedresultssize_, then continues to paginate by the default pagination limit of 500 https://github.com/apache/ranger/blob/master/ugsync/src/main/java/org/apache/ranger/ldapusersync/process/LdapUserGroupBuilder.java#L57
