[jira] Created: (CHUKWA-437) Improve categorization of HICC widgets
Improve categorization of HICC widgets
--------------------------------------
Key: CHUKWA-437
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CHUKWA-437
Project: Hadoop Chukwa
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: User Interface
Affects Versions: 0.3.0, 0.1.2, 0.2.0
Environment: Redhat EL 5.1, Java 6
Reporter: Eric Yang
Assignee: Eric Yang
Fix For: 0.4.0
In HICC 0.1-0.3, the widget categorization backend was base on servlet POJO. There was a bug in the categorization code which required padding the widget hierarchy with extra keyword to make the tree display nicely. The code has been changed to Jersey based REST API. The new code is categorizing the widget categories properly without having to put in extra names like Status to indent the widget category names. Hence, the widget descriptor files should go through a round of clean up to realign the widget category names.
