This change has now been backported. Thanks to Otto for the
review. This leaves us with one issues outstanding:

If I understand the "IRC disconnect" issue, we need to
back-port https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TS-1529

Did I miss anything else of utter importance?

Thanks for testing this Jan-Frode. I filed this as https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TS-1526, pushed a fix to master, and proposed it for 3.2.3.

It's not just the old curl that's failing. That's just an easy utility
to demonstrate the problem. Our jboss applications (Java 1.6) also
fails to work with 3.2.3 (and 3.2.0, but works with 3.2.0 +

It's not just the old curl that's failing. That's just an easy utility

Thanks to the FUD spread by failure reports we've all poked
around 3.2.3 and backported three more patches :D

I've re-spun 3.2.3 and uploaded the new tar balls.

313b7c6e8303bb21e93a9c3e0c33d170 *trafficserver-3.2.3.tar.bz2

This now includes a high-CPU fix for *BSD, a fix for the make test
failure, as well as an improvement for Clusters. (I also smuggled in
a build fix for Solaris)

Please give it another round of tests.

I'd like to point out again that the reported SSL failures were due to
old versions of curl.

After running the output trough "sed 's/readldomain/example.net/g'".
All names are in public dns, and certs are valid:

[janfrode@stl1 ~]$ host webint.example.net
webint.example.net is an alias for webedge-vip1.services.example.net.
webedge-vip1.services.example.net has address 81.167.37.99
[janfrode@stl1 ~]$ curl -vv

It's TS-1345 (git show 8ab44edd) for the "make check" failure.

The vote ends today, and we've got two reported issues:

`make test` failing on Linux, and this SSL issue.

Does someone know which patch needs back-porting so that
`make test` will work again?

Has somebody been able to repro jf's SSL issue?

This is a bit concerning. I'm not up to date on the back story, is
this broken for you in 3.2.0 as well?

Passes regression tests on Mac OS 10.8.2 w/ Apple clang-421.11.65. I tested some basic SSL configurations and they worked for me (SAN match, IP address match, default fallback).
