[Bug 5151] New: SPAMD hangs

http://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/show_bug.cgi?id=5151

           Summary: SPAMD hangs
           Product: Spamassassin
           Version: 3.1.6
          Platform: Sun
        OS/Version: SunOS
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P5
         Component: spamc/spamd
        AssignedTo: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
        ReportedBy: fcl1971@web.de

We use SPAMD on SUN T2000 (4x8 CPUs, 32 GB) running under Solaris 10. The
number of open files has been increased to 8192 (/etc/system).

We run SpamAssassin 3.1.6 from the OpenPKG library:

--nouser-config --max-children=100 --max-conn-per-child=25

We're using BerkeleyDB for the Bayes Filter.

It work's fine, but under heavy load (but there's still something left), the
deamon simply stops to works. Even "kill -9" does not stop the process. In many
case we have to reboot the whole Solaris zone.

Any idea?
