--- Comment #6 from AndreiParaschiv <pa...@gmail.com> ---
Used the following configuration
OS : Mac Sierra v10.12.4
Apache Open Office : 4.1.3
AOO413m1(Build:9783)  -  Rev. 1761381
2016-09-23 02:39:34 (Fri, 23 Sep 2016)
Word 2017 15.33.0

to make the following tests :

Test1:
a) Use the Command+Shift+4 to make a screenshot inside a Google Chrome browser
window;
b) Move the screenshot cursor and select a text area that you have highlighted
before (ex HighlightedTextFile) ;
c) After the screenshot is made, a png file will appear on your Desktop(default
location) or where you have set the path to store the image ;
d) Use Command+C on the png file ;
e) Open AOO as a Text Document ;
f) Use Command+V inside the Text Document ;

Results : the text inside the png appears as a picture. It's a picture as their
is top left window Picture, where you can change settings
The text itself is larger than the original file and it doesn't lose the
highlight coulor (blue).
Similar result is on Word 2017 (15.33.0), the only difference is that the image
itself is smaller, closer to the original file in Word - attached test1.png

Test2:
a) Use the Command+Shift+4 to make a screenshot off your Desktop;
b) Move the screenshot cursor and select an area of your wallpaper;
c) After the screenshot is made, a png file will appear on your Desktop(default
location) or where you have set the path to store the image ;
d) Use Command+C on the png file ;
e) Open AOO as a Text Document ;
f) Use Command+V inside the Text Document ;

Results : the png appears as a picture format.
The image is larger, much bigger than the original file.
Similar result is on Word 2017 (15.33.0), the only difference is that the image
itself is smaller, closer to the original file in Word - attached test2.png

Test3
a) Use the Command+Shift+4 to make a screenshot inside a Google Chrome browser
window;
b) Move the screenshot cursor and select an area which have some words you've
highlighted before and icons/images(ex ImageHighlightedTextFile) ;
c) After the screenshot is made, a png file will appear on your Desktop(default
location) or where you have set the path to store the image ;
d) Use Command+C on the png file ;
e) Open AOO as a Text Document ;
f) Use Command+V inside the Text Document ;
Results : same conclusion as in test1 and test2

Test4
Remade the first 3 tests, but instead of using Command+V, used right Click -
paste or the Paste button from the File menu
Same results occurred as described earlier.

Test5
a) Use the Command+Control+Shift+4 to make a screenshot inside a Google Chrome
browser window
b) Move the screenshot cursor and select an area ;
c) Select to have that area copied to the Clipboard;
d) Open AOO as a Text Document ;
e) Use Command+V inside the Text Document ;

Results : Same results occurred as earlier.
Having the selection copied in Clipboard (bitmap format) didn't change the
behavior.

Note: using Command+Shift+V (Paste Special), this is when instead of copying
the image/content, you can copy the image's name.

Test6
Did the steps of test 5 but on the HTML document - the same behavior as the
previous tests.

Conclusion : After using Command+Shift+4 or Command+Shift+Control+4, the
Command+V works fine in AOO 4.1.3
