   @mahrz24 @kaxil @mik-laj @gwax I've just stumbled across this as I was thinking of implementing something similar. I'd be happy to pick up work on this again, I agree that it seems to be almost complete. The first thing to do seems to be to rebase onto current `master` (or is a merge also an option?). At a first glance, there's a few conflicts, but nothing that looks hard to resolve. I'm happy to do this, unless someone tells me it's fruitless.
