Jira setup!

Hi,

A Jira issue tracker for phoenix is available at

http://jira.werken.com/secure/BrowseProject.jspa?id=10081

Thanks Jason!

Anyways if someone wants to volunteer to transfer issues from Bugzilla to this
then that would be fantastic.

For url that lists all phoenix issues see TODO link on LHS of
http://avalon.apache.org/phoenix or copy

http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_status=RESOLVED&product=Avalon&component=Phoenix

delayed +1 for me. Lets give it a test drive first. I have used it a fair bit
at different places I work (and just getting it at current job - yay!) but
wait till everyone has a play first. Then +17635247864 from me ;)

[VOTE] Jira setup

Posted by Leo Simons <le...@apache.org>.
hi all,

I propose we stop using bugzilla completely for avalon projects and ask
Jason 'n Bob to host issue tracking for all of avalon on jira.werken.com.

+1 from me.

BTW, Greg (of board fame) said on infrastructure:

Well, note that an issue tracking system is somewhat orthogonal to the
software itself (my statement above was related to the code). If somebody
hacks our tracker, then we have some pain to deal with, but it doesn't
affect the code.

 >From a personal standpoint, I like having all the infrastructure in one
place, rather than spread across a billion boxes under various realms of
ownership/control, and that is the way that I would always vote -- put all
facilities on *.apache.org. But with my Director hat on, I'm not very
hard-line with where the issue trackers are located.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

I take this as that while a move to jira might be frowned upon by some,
it is not really a big issue or against "policy". And Jira /is/ neat.

cheers,

- Leo

sounds good to me.

Yah, Mike (jira dude) often helps us out on the werken box so maybe
waiting is better. If you want any other modules setup just shout. I'm
sure you want to hear this but there are a couple groups planning on
reimplementing JIRA using Werkflow. As an aside we've removed all the
Plexusisms from the Werkflow component so it will work in any container.
Our service selector stuff is compatible now so I'll just use what you
use.

Atlassian is working on a bugzilla import feature for 2.0 I believe, so
it may be prudent to wait for that.. I think they expect a 2.0 final in
a week or two.
