[jira] Created: (WSS-105) Make WSS4J compliant with X.509 1.1 specification

Make WSS4J compliant with X.509 1.1 specification
-------------------------------------------------

                 Key: WSS-105
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WSS-105
             Project: WSS4J
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Colm O hEigeartaigh
            Assignee: Ruchith Udayanga Fernando
            Priority: Minor
         Attachments: wss4j_x509_v1.patch, x509v1.keystore

As reported by Mayank Mishra to the wss4j-dev list on February 29th, WSS4J erroneously uses a ValueType of X509v3 in the Token Reference when in fact an X509v1 certificate is used.

Attached is a patch for this issue. In addition this patch contains a test which verifies that WSS4J is compliant with the X509 1.1 specification, namely:

1) That X.509V1 certificates are supported

2) That only X.509V3 certificates can be used with SKI.

-----------------------------------------

The patch contains the following new files that must be svn add'ed when the patch is applied:

src\x509v1.properties
test\wssec\TestWSSecurityX509v1.java

In addition the binary keystore file "x509v1.keystore" must be added to the "keys" directory.
