[jira] [Created] (CLOUDSTACK-7080) Can't attach cluster-scope data
disk to VM whose root disk is on zone-scope storage
Mike Tutkowski created CLOUDSTACK-7080:
------------------------------------------
Summary: Can't attach cluster-scope data disk to VM whose root disk is on zone-scope storage
Key: CLOUDSTACK-7080
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-7080
Project: CloudStack
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
Components: Management Server
Affects Versions: 4.5.0
Environment: Ubuntu 12.04.1 for the Management Server
Reporter: Mike Tutkowski
Fix For: 4.5.0
I created a VM whose root disk uses zone-wide primary storage.
I then created a data disk from a disk offering whose storage tag is associated only with the primary storage of a specific cluster (the cluster the VM is running in).
When I go to attach the data disk to the VM, the cluster-scope storage pool allocator fails to select the primary storage I need.
