[jira] [Created] (ACCUMULO-3309) Investigate using commons-exec for MiniAccumuloCluster (MAC)

Christopher Tubbs created ACCUMULO-3309:
-------------------------------------------

Summary: Investigate using commons-exec for MiniAccumuloCluster (MAC)
                 Key: ACCUMULO-3309
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACCUMULO-3309
             Project: Accumulo
          Issue Type: Wish
            Reporter: Christopher Tubbs

We've seen lots of problems starting and stopping external processes using the Java API, such as trying to destroy a process that has recently been started, and waitFor hanging indefinitely. Perhaps commons-exec makes dealing with processes easy in this regard.

It'd be great to investigate this and determine whether it'd be useful.
