[jira] [Commented] (REEF-1750) Enable YARN Node Labels

Imesha Sudasingha commented on REEF-1750:
-----------------------------------------
Hi [~yunseong],
I'm a final year student of University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. I went through this project idea. But I need some further clarifications on this.
As I understood, *hadoop-yarn* already has this node label option. What you want is to implement/import the same functionality to your yarn-runtime[1]. Am I correct?
Thank you!

> YARN's Node Labels (https://hadoop.apache.org/docs/r2.7.2/hadoop-yarn/hadoop-yarn-site/NodeLabel.html) allow users to group resources with similar characteristics or with similar ACL policies (e.g., 'gpu' for the nodes that have GPUs, TEAMNAME for the nodes that are owned by a team).
> Users can specify which type of resources they want to request by setting the label.
> It will be useful if REEF Runtime YARN supports this feature.
