Property Descriptor Utility Cache needs a way to clear it.
Summary: Property Descriptor Utility Cache needs a way to clear
it.
Product: Struts
Version: 1.0.2 Final
Platform: All
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: Utilities
AssignedTo: struts-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: drichan@yahoo.com
The PropertyUtils Class maintains a static class of PropertyDescriptors. From
time to time when new classloaders are created it becomes necesary to clear
this cache. The java.beans.Introspector class has a flushCaches method for just
this purpose. The PropertyUtils class needs the same.
I am currently using struts in the system classloader rather then loading
struts in each of my war files. When ever I hot deploy a new war file I receive
exceptions because struts is still using the old Property Descriptor loaded
with a different classloader.
