Re: GSOC2013 - ISIS-371 (an android viewer)

Hi Dan
I have done some updates on the proposal in melange specially about
how UI should be shown.

In addition to that I hope to use a third party library [1] "Android
Saripaar" for UI validation. It is licensed under the Apache License,
Version 2.0.

For android tablets those run on android 4+ I hope to add extra data
representation modes using slide out navigation methods. It is capable
to show more data in a small area without distracting the user. The
tool "android-undergarment" [2] is suitable for this work.

I think licences are quite compatible to use. Can you please make sure
whether I can use these two libraries in our project?

That's a great addition, thanks.

They are.

The Apache license used by [1] obviously is, and the other one [2] uses a
2-clause BSD license (I discovered by googling one of its phrases).

In terms of which are compatible with ASF, you can check against [3]:

Cheers
Dan

PS: By the way, I noticed at the top of your proposal that you state me as
the assigned mentor for this project. I don't want to curb your
enthusiasm, but we don't know that yet. There's a process to go through
here, involving both ASF rating projects, and google allocating slots.
So, could you remove it, please?
