Exposing existing applications as soap services using axis

Hi all

in axis java can I expose an existing class(which was origianlly not meant as
a webservice class) as a webservice. The class have methods that shoud be
allowed and those methods have parameters
which are of custom types.?
Additionally how can we do this in axis c++?
