exec task in new thread

Hello all,

Is it possible to run "exec" task in new thread. My requirement as part of
automated build is to start visual age for Java with a specific icx
file.Hence I have written an exec task in my build.xml that run ide.exe(exe
file for Visual Age for Java) . After Visual Age has started the Ant script
should continue to execute next task. But scripts halts and will return to
execution only when visual age is closed. Hence I was wondering if it will
be possible to run the exec command in new thread.
