[jira] [Created] (DAFFODIL-2597) Extension feature to allow other nilValues than %ES; for complex types

Mike Beckerle created DAFFODIL-2597:
---------------------------------------

Summary: Extension feature to allow other nilValues than %ES; for complex types
                 Key: DAFFODIL-2597
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DAFFODIL-2597
             Project: Daffodil
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: Back End, Front End
    Affects Versions: 3.2.0
            Reporter: Mike Beckerle

Users want to explore lifting DFDL's restriction that a nillable complexType element must have dfdl:nilValues="%ES;" only.

A dfdlx:allowRIchNillableComplex="yes/no" (or other) is needed to enable/disable this feature (default disabled).
