The batcher parser allows only GET requests for individual requests within batch requests. This was true for OData Version 2, but the version 4 specification says:

The body of a batch request is made up of a series of individual requests and change sets, each represented as a distinct MIME part.
.....
An individual request in the context of a batch request is a Data request, Data Modification request, Action invocation request, or Function invocation request
