as of firefox 1.5, it is no longer possible to paste content from the system
clipboard. here is a suggestion by the bxe developers how to fix it:

note that setting user_prefs('capability.*') and friends in firefox does not
help in this case.
this is a major usability problem. i can only test on linux atm, can anyone
confirm this behaviour on windows?

somehow this issue is specific to bxe. cut and paste works fine in tinymce.
the only thing i'm certain about is that javascript code cannot by default
invoke cut, copy or paste. i.e. buttons or any kind of script-triggering of
these functions are not possible in security-aware browsers. however, this does
not explain why the user-triggered keyboard commands (ctrl-[xcv]) and even the
edit menu entries are disabled in firefox when bxe is active. this is not the
case with tinymce.
the patch adds an extra button which opens a textarea (iirc) where pasting
miraculously works again.

the workaround (i.e. the extra paste dialog) has been in trunk for a while, so i

no, the issue is not fixed for me (ff 1.5.0.4 on linux).

I can't reproduce this on Mac OS X, pasting works for me.
I use firefox 1.5.0.4.
Or did someone already apply the patch?
