[jira] Created: (DERBY-1680) The regex.masters target in tools/release/build.xml does not change the alpha flag to beta as expected

The regex.masters target in tools/release/build.xml does not change the alpha flag to beta as expected
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: DERBY-1680
                 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-1680
             Project: Derby
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Build tools
            Reporter: Rick Hillegas

I bumped the interim (3rd) number of the release identifier, which caused sysinfo to report my build as beta rather than alpha. However regex.masters did not make the corresponding changes to the canons. The regex.masters target did correctly change the numeric fields of the release identifier in the canons, but the alpha flag was left untouched.

Rick Hillegas closed DERBY-1680.
--------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

I believe that the regex.masters target is obsolete now.
