Review comment:
       Let's spell out the versions and if possible assign LOWEST_SUPPORTED=ALL_SUPPORTED_VERSIONS[0], 
   HIGHEST_SUPPORTED=ALL_SUPPORTED_VERSIONS[-1] 
   (I'm not sure of the exact syntax).
