on startup i get the following ?? sorry a real newbie here   

 A java.lang.NullPointerException exception has occurred.
Please report this at https://issues.apache.org/jira/projects/NETBEANS/issues,
including a copy of your messages.log file as an attachment.
The messages.log file is located in your /Users/jasiii/Library/Application Support/NetBeans/12.0/var/log folder.
