[Issue 126797] New: Customization of menu color fails

https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126797

          Issue ID: 126797
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Customization of menu color fails
           Product: General
           Version: 4.1.2
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows 7
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P5 (lowest)
         Component: ui
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: JK.loehner@web.de

If I want to change the color of the menu in any of the Open Office Programs
such as the writer or the calculator, the color will reset after I press OK.

This setting used to be found at Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > Colors or
with Format > Area > Color,
but I use the program in german language, so it is at Extras > Einstellungen
and then at OpenOffice > Farben.
The default setting is Blue Classic and I am unable to change it, because it
resets all the time, even after a restart of the program or even the Computer.

If I understand the OP right the problem is that it seems there is no way to
change the default colour for objects. It can be very annoying if you create
many objects always with the default "Blue classic" colour.

For Draw and Impress there is an easy way to change the "Default" template for
objects.
But if one use the Draw Functions in Writer or Calc there is no template for
draw objects. IMHO Having no template for these objects is a breaking of/by
design.

Read the help (F1). This setting is to modify color palette.
To change the color of many items on your screen, including windows, window
borders, title bars or menus, you muust use the Windows control panel and
modify the color scheme.

I don't see this option.
Could you provide a screenshot to show what you described?

Once this is done, please set the bug back to UNCONFIRMED and we will attempt
to reproduce the issue.

The problem is, at first place, that the setting i mentioned still resets after
i change it and at second place, I dont want to change the windows or
windowborders, i want to change the menu color of open office itself. This does
not work through the windows control panel but should work through open office.
And the only possibility i found was this setting i asked to fix. If there is
another, please tell me, but i did not find one.
