   I can reproduce locally when building with a JDK8 (@raducotescu animal-sniffer is not used when using JDK9 or newer, as the release option for javac is sufficient in that case, https://github.com/apache/sling-parent/blob/dc0a5b0c417627edeecf3f2ca6e2af647d29a55b/sling-parent/pom.xml#L541). Looks like some classpath issue, investigating now...
