   As per the meeting we recently had, I'm removing this from the BuildStream 2.0 milestone.
   
   To clarify, this is still a feature of interest and patches which implement this will still be considered for 2.0, but we don't intend to *block* the 2.0 release on this issue.
   
   Also of interest to anyone watching this issue, we recently landed an initial [porting guide](https://docs.buildstream.build/master/main_porting.html) in the documentation which should cover user facing breaking changes in 2.0 including anything which affects the project YAML format (but not plugin migration yet at this time).
