The latest versions of MyFaces & Spring's variable resolver do not work well together. Please, check the post:

In addition I just want to add that Spring 1.2 works with RI, so the issue must be in MyFaces.

As a data point, I'm using it too without problems. Sounds like a user configuration problem.

I didn't look into jsf-spring.jar file before but I agree that it's working after removing 'broken faces-config.xml'. Thanks.

I use Spring-Version1.2-rc1, the latest myfaces, and jsf-spring-2.7.1.jar without any issues (once I remove the redundent and broken faces-config.xml from the META-INF directory).
I've used it in the past with MyFaces 1.0.9 as well.
Can you provide a specific simple example of how it's not working?
