[jira] [Commented] (HBASE-11704) Include set-up instructions for building with IDEs besides Eclipse

Nick Dimiduk commented on HBASE-11704:
--------------------------------------

I don't think there's anything special that needs to be done on any IDE anymore. It's just a maven project. Pretty standard stuff. Do we know the eclipse content is still necessary? I never found I needed it, but I've been off eclipse for over a year.

How about just a note saying "import the maven project per your tool's instructions" and leave it at that. Less is more, right?

> We have pretty detailed instructions for setting up Eclipse to build HBase at http://hbase.apache.org/book/ides.html#eclipse. It would be nice to have this for other popular IDEs such as IntelliJ.
