Board reporting change for the Incubator

I don't think anyone has told the Incubator this (perhaps we have and
I just missed it), but, at the last Board meeting, the Board discussed
that the Incubator should divide its projects for reporting purposes
and submit a sub-collection of podling reports each month rather than
all podlings every three months.

We can keep each podling reporting once a quarter, but we'd like to
spread out the Incubator load across the three months. We should
randomly pick projects to report for this month and March (unless a
podling would like to volunteer to report earlier).

Thanks. -- justin

Yup. And, by the Directors too. =)

Sure. We could have the reports due at the first of the month.
That'll give ample time for the Incubator PMC to review/comment/update
before it needs to go to the Board for their review.

I don't think many Incubator PMC members have been carefully reviewing
these reports - and they should. The Board certainly goes through all
of these reports - it took us by far the largest amount of time to
work through this last quarter's Incubator report.

You know, I don't think it'd be the worst thing in the world for the
Incubator PMC to mirror the board in another aspect: have a monthly
meeting (phone or IRC?) where it could review these reports as a
group. This PMC is getting *really* large and we need to better
organize ourselves. -- justin

Thank you, I think this lightens the load and increases oversite by the
incubator PMC itself.

It would be nice to stagger these, such that they are due 2 weeks before
the board meeting to pmc@incubator, so that the incubator committee can
remedy any issues before they are escalated to board, at least whenever
that's possible, and a revised or updated report can be provided to the
board by the incubator PMC on the usual timetable.

Justin,

Yes, I discussed this with Greg after the last Board meeting, but we've had
enough to deal with lately, and we'll likely start this in March, which was
alright with Greg (after all, we just did them all in January), so there's
still time.

We'll have to divide up the current projects, and the reports will be due
for new projects each quarter in the same offset as when they begin.
