[users@httpd] dav-access and ftp-access to same structure

are there any modells to allow DAV-access and FTP-access to several
structures at the same time ? 

Problem now is that DAV runs as httpd-user and auths via some
apache-directives while FTP runs as a systemuser. As soon as a file is
created with DAV it cant be changed/removed by FTP and vice versa.

Any models for this or are the concepts simply incompatible ?


I'd also like to know if one has some experiences with DAV and
mass-hosting with mod_vhost_alias.
