svg -> pdf

Hi all,

I've a little problem with including svg into pdf. If i use
<fo:external-graphic> tag the awt-viewer rasterizes the svg well in the
preview but the generated pdf is broken (Acrobat Reader tells me: '...Wrong
operand Type".
Now im try to use <svg:image xlink:href="....> but there a 'width' and
'height' attribute is required. The xml sources are generated dynamically
(perhaps also the svg reference) so i have no informations about the
dimensions of the (not-scaled) svg. Is there a way to set the Attributes
dynamically?
