Red Hat Linux and Window XP in the same cluster

I am new to hadoop. I would like to put a red hat linux box and window xp box (installed cygwin with openssh) in the same cluster. Both work in standalone mode and they can ping each other. But ssh does not work on either way. I suppose ssh working is the pre-requirement. Can anyone give a hand, though this is a ssh problem, rather than hadoop one?

Thanks,

Leo

It is a requirement for start-*.sh scripts, but not for Hadoop itself.

I never use windows, but if you have more informations please tell us. Have
you installed and run sshd on one of the two boxes ? How did you try to
connect ? Have you generated a key pair ?
