Red Hat Request for Apache High Resolution Logos
Hello!
My name is Nicole Bostock and I work for Red Hat Marketing. We're looking
to develop a graphic about the open source community and need the following
vector or high resolution logos (with transparent backgrounds if
available). If someone could please send them to nbostock@redhat.com, I
would greatly appreciate it!
- Apache Camel
- Apache Tomcat
- Apache AMQ
If you also have the following, they aren't as needed but would be awesome
to have!
- Apache CXF
- Apache HTTP Server
Thank you for your help and for all you do for open source!

I would encourage you to contact Sally Khudairi - sk@apache.org - who will
be able to provide these logos.

The Tomcat is, AIUI, the only logo available in SVG format:

Kay,
I think that although the Trademarks (logos included) are not free to use
willy-nilly, the source code of those resources are expected to be ALv2.
Source code accessibility doesn't define legal status of said source code.

Apache OpenOffice has had many problems with entities just "using" our
logos without permission. We have instructions for what folks should do
in the page we have on Trademarks.
It is possible to "steal" a png rendering without much effort but the
svgs are stored in a rather obscure svn area. When a logo use is
requested, and we provide these once the request is approved. It would
be great if such an area were established on a foundation-wide basis
accessible by PMC members.

Hi all,
Maybe it is a good idea to have the projects provide their logos to one of
our ASF offices. I can imagine that requests from outside agencies often
happen, and having 1 single shared source for marketing purposes etc. would
alleviate the need to search the various projects.

Being a very distributed and federated organization, the ASF doesn't
have a central place where we can collect those logos, you'll need to
contact each individual project unfortunately, unless people from
these projects chime in here.
I have tweeted your request at
https://twitter.com/bdelacretaz/status/756404805401182208 which might
help...or not.
http://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/ describes how to use ASF logos
in general.
