Subject: and while I'm pissing people off

I find the amount of time that "the apache group" argues to be a total
waste of time.

Brian, I would appreciate it if you could r*move me from the apache-core
mailing list, I have no desire to participate in the never ending
discussion of "oh we need to incorporate" and "who will be our official
spokesperson". Nevermind the hypocrasy by which you folks have decided
that we'll trust an official spokesperson but can't trust a coder to
commit fucking good code without peer review first.

Oh wait! I'm still a group member, I -1 the concept of an official
spokesperson because there's no way to review what will come out of their
mouth before they say it. I'm more than just half-serious. It is an
interesting duplicity.

For those who don't know, there is a "secret" mailing list apache-core,
that supposed to have been announced to the world by now. It's invitation
only, but was originally only formed so that the "core" developers could
discuss incorporating apache as a non-profit. That was well over a year
ago... and as with almost every discussion regarding apache it went no
where. New developers don't feel slighted by this, I wasn't invited to
the list until august 97 -- I wasn't around apache (or the web at all) at
the very beginning. And in august when Marc and Ken also joined
apache-core it was decided that apache-core shouldn't be secret, because
yeah we did feel a bit slighted. It's jan 98 and well, I'm making it not
a secret.

At the same time I would appreciate it if you would add dgaudet@apache.org
to security@apache.org, as I do wish to continue to develop.
