[VOTE] Release Airflow 2.6.1 from 2.6.1rc2
Hey fellow Airflowers,
I have cut Airflow 2.6.1rc2. This email is calling a vote on the release,
which will last at least 72 hours, from Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10:10 pm UTC
until Monday, May 15, 2023 at 10:10 pm UTC

Airflow 2.6.1rc2 is available at:

*apache-airflow-2.6.1-source.tar.gz* is a source release that comes with
INSTALL instructions.
*apache-airflow-2.6.1.tar.gz* is the binary Python "sdist" release.
*apache_airflow-2.6.1-py3-none-any.whl* is the binary Python wheel "binary"
release.
Public keys are available at:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/airflow/KEYS
Please vote accordingly:

The test procedure for PMCs and Contributors who would like to test this RC

Please note that the version number excludes the `rcX` string, so it's now
simply 2.6.1. This will allow us to rename the artifact without modifying
the artifact checksums when we actually release.

I am changing my vote to -1: The community members helped with identifying
a bug in my job refactoring that missed "scheduler_helth_check_threshold"
when checking the "alive" status of SchedulerJob (Thanks to Matthew Wicks
for the analysis). This would - with the default heartbeat configuration -
lead to reporting scheduler as unhealthy when it was a little busy (which
is very likely to happen on biggish installations). The workaround is
available -
https://github.com/apache/airflow/issues/31200#issuecomment-1546791859 but
it might cause problems for people migrating to 2.6.1 from earlier versions.
