   Should have looked up the ADBC details first!

   - https://github.com/apache/arrow-adbc/blob/main/.github/workflows/nightly-website.yml
   - https://github.com/apache/arrow-adbc/blob/main/.asf.yaml#L38-L40
   - https://github.com/apache/arrow-adbc/blob/main/ci/scripts/website_build.sh

   We might be able to avoid most of that complexity by punting on the version switcher for now

   Great details! Do you think there is value in updating the arrow site with a link to the github documentation in the meantime?
   ```
   <a class="dropdown-item" href="https://apache.github.io/arrow-nanoarrow">nanoarrow</a>
   ```

   Good idea!

   That's probably two steps:

   - Replicate what ADBC does for its docs job on push to main (I think it uploads a tarball somewhere and unpacks it but I forget the details)
   - Add a link to the Subprojects dropdown: https://github.com/apache/arrow-site/blob/a104894058d3751df17de1aa2fb59b63b8bda4f9/_includes/header.html#L51-L63

   I'm willing to spend a tiny bit of time attempting to upload the latest release documentation to `https://arrow.apache.org/nanoarrow`...it may not take very long and it might be nice to have that address be the canonical subproject home.

   Ah...https://github.com/apache/arrow-adbc/blob/asf-site/.asf.yaml is also key (where the subdirectory is specified). This is almost the same as the current docs job except the current docs job is pushing to `gh-pages` (whereas we need `asf-site` to make this one work).
