[jira] [Commented] (ARROW-6590) [C++] Do not require ARROW_JSON=ON when ARROW_IPC=ON

Antoine Pitrou commented on ARROW-6590:
---------------------------------------

It depends whether {{ARROW_JSON}} means "only the JSON scanner" or "all JSON support". The "simple JSON" functions are used by a lot of unit tests, because they make it easy to instantiate test arrays.
