nongui not saving to log file

I am having difficulty getting the nongui to work in some useful manner. I
have saved my testplan at the testplan level and have included a file
listener. With a valid file location but how do I get the nongui to record
the response times to the file. It does look like the tests are running but
what is happening to the results?
