[C2] ServletRequest.getRealPath() broken in recent CVS
dims,
I've just been using the latest CVS of Cocoon and notice that some of my
XSP code is broken related to some of the recent additions to
cocoon.environment.
The new environment.Request does not provide a getRealPath(String path)
method. Is this intentional?
Stuart.

Can you explain why you really need this method? It is a dangerous
method because you shouldn't deal with absolut path names because of the
possibility of mounting sub sitemap at a different context. If you
really need such a functionality the environment should take care of
this as it will do with the getRequestUri method.

dims,
Sorry, can't do anything today. As with most issues I end up hitting them
when I'm in a rush! I've patched round it in my code for the timebeing
and I'll happily have a look later on Monday though.
Are we just talking about adding in a method declaration to the Interface?
Stuart.

Stuart,
No. This is not intentional. I had fixed all the stuff which is already in CVS. But wanted to add
the rest of the API based on whether people are using it.
Can you please submit a patch? (The main files are Request.java, XSPRequesthelper.java) Or i can
patch it up on monday.
Thanks,
dims
