how to deactivate nodes tree ?
how to deactivate document and all it's children ?
i guess i should hack deactivate.xsp,
and put something instead of
if (liveChildren.length > 0) {
<message id="children-live"/>
}
but it's not clean for me what excactly to do.

This is a quite complex issue. You might want to download
the unicms publications from www.wyona.com, they offer this
functionality.
