How to Callback a DirectLink?
Ok, I've got a handle on how to seamlessly handle an expired session (or
logged out user) using the ExternalService to activate a page. I simply
use an ExternalCallback to do so.
However, I have a page class that both displays a form as well as
streams a file to the client web browser. This all works grand if the
user is and stays logged in. However, if they do not, only the External
service can successfully activate the page. The link to stream the file
to the client is a DirectLink, and it uses a parameter to specify which
file. When pageValidate() is called to see if the user is logged in,
there are no service parameters when the DirectLink is used to access
the page.
How can I perform a callback to include the service parameters to a page
that is activated by the DirectService?
Is there another way to make this stateless that I should be using? I
can't seem to find any docs on staying as stateless as possible while
forcing a user to be logged in by storing something in the Visit
object. I'd like page activations to work properly regardless of
whether they were logged into the application before following the link.
Thanks!
