Currently Slider App Types are being loaded every 6s continuously. This is not needed as they dont change that often. 
[http://c6401:8080/api/v1/views/SLIDER/versions/1.0.0/instances/A1/apptypes?fields=*] should be loaded only *once* and view load time. If a new package is added in {{/var/lib/ambari-server/resources/apps}}, one should be able to see it the next time they load the view.
