Agreed, I liked it because it makes the front page very attractive. Well 
we could use these squares on the pages as well (only a single relevant 
square), something like:

mod_perl logo     | content
------------------|
square 'download' | goes here

But I guess we can try this later if you like the idea.

I just don't like the idea of having a different frontpage (layout-wise) 
than all pages underneath. It makes it seem a bit messy to me, but then
again I never was able to come up with anything really good either.
