Help with Daemon

Hi,

I need to make one of the java applications available as a service on
Windows. I was wondering what would be a good starting point to get
acquainted with common component daemon. Looks like on Windows, it
will be procrun that I should be investigating.

Any help for a newbie will be highly appreciated,
