[jira] [Created] (SOLR-12596) DocValues page should explain terms like SORTED_SET, SORTED_NUMERIC

Erick Erickson created SOLR-12596:
-------------------------------------

Summary: DocValues page should explain terms like SORTED_SET, SORTED_NUMERIC
                 Key: SOLR-12596
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-12596
             Project: Solr
          Issue Type: Improvement
Security Level: Public (Default Security Level. Issues are Public)
          Components: documentation
            Reporter: Erick Erickson
            Assignee: Erick Erickson

docvalues.adoc

Unless you dive into the code, the difference between SORTED_SET, SORTED_NUMERIC etc aren't clear. The link to the javadocs is easy to overlook (or even know is important).

I'll update the Javadocs to include a very short explanation of each.
