[jira] [Created] (NIP-42) GenerateTableFetch can leave incoming FlowFiles unacknowledged after processing failures
Pierre Villard created NIP-42:
---------------------------------
Summary: GenerateTableFetch can leave incoming FlowFiles unacknowledged after processing failures
Key: NIP-42
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIP-42
Project: NiFi Improvement Proposal
Issue Type: Bug
Reporter: Pierre Villard
Assignee: Pierre Villard
GenerateTableFetch can dequeue an incoming FlowFile and exit without committing or rolling back the ProcessSession when an unchecked exception occurs or cluster state retrieval fails. The FlowFile remains held and unavailable for further processing, preventing the connection destination from being changed even after the processor is stopped or disabled. Ensure all failure paths roll back the session while preserving existing error reporting.
