ioprio_set/get

Hi,

I spotted https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-8715 which mentions:

The operating system exposes system calls like ioprio_set/get to set
priorities for various threads doing IO.

HBase can use this to accordingly prioritize operations like
flushes/compactions/WAL write etc to use the disk bandwidth more
efficiently.
"

Would this be of interest/doable in Lucene, say for merges?
