remaing things
I set up the makefiles so that they can roll us a release.
What else? We have INSTALL and README files.
The docs are incomplete, but I think a significant effort is necessary
to really fill them out. I haven't had any comments on the new look
and feel, which I think is better, but might still be improved...
The examples. Hrm... there are some that look a bit odd to me. I
think a bit of triage would be worthwhile here.
Which are your favorites? Least favorites?

A lot of them seem to be using broken paths/other cruft... Let's pick
a few to keep and dump the rest, bar a few very simple hello world
type apps? Or maybe reorganize into demonstrations of feature
categories?

why not just dump 'em all and concentrate on the online examples? ->
Refer to the online examples in the documentation and that's it for
