questions on velocity

Hi,

I didn't see any faq on velocity and couldn't find any specific
documentation for variable reuse in vm files.  What I'd like to do is set a
variable in one file and reuse it in all my other vm files without doing
some kind of include in each if possible.  Or maybe you can give me a link
to an info site.
