maintainer mode
With Subversion having been "final" for a few months now, is
"--enable-maintainer-mode" still useful? I've never used it, but the name
implies a feature that might only be useful to the core Subversion
developers.

It's a standard autoconf feature. See the autoconf manual if you want to
understand the details.
