[Bug 3689] New: spamd/spamc is not loading /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf
http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3689
Summary: spamd/spamc is not loading
/etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 2.64
Platform: PC
OS/Version: FreeBSD
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: spamc/spamd
AssignedTo: spamassassin-dev@incubator.apache.org
ReportedBy: brian@backland.net
spamd/spamc is not loading /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf. I have a
whilelist entry in this file that is not being found by spamd/spamc, but IS
being found by spamassassin.
This command incorrectly marks the email as spam:
spamc < spam-test.eml
This command correctly marks the email as ham (due to whitelist entry):
spamassassin < spam-test.eml
Both commands are run as the same unpriveleged user. Spamd is run as the user
daemon, and has read access to /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf.
If I create a whitelist entry
in /usr/local/share/spamassassin/100_local_whitelist.cf and restart spamd,
then spamd/spamc find it ok and correctly mark the email as ham. But this is
not what I want since I want to have userlevel whitelists at some point. I
have tried using the userlevel whitelist for testing this as well with the
same results.
Spamd is started with the following command:
spamd -d -u daemon -r /var/run/spamd.pid -s local3 --
siteconfigpath=/etc/mail/spamassassin --user-config
or even
spamd -d -u daemon -r /var/run/spamd.pid -s local3
I have tried starting spamd with the user root just as a test, but spamd will
not start with the user root.
